Recording update.
Following the Autumn tour the band have returned to the studio to resume work on the new album.
Lisa has just recorded some beautiful vocals on new track Forsaken, debuted on the recent tour.
Ian has been producing/recording keys on Your World (fav tour stomper!) and additional keys and strings on Forsaken.
Enrico has recorded his 'harmonic loop' - a feature of the live version of forsaken which has been added to the studio version.... more updates soon!!

June 2008. Karnataka are very pleased to announce their new drummer.... introducing Ian Harris.

Ian has worked with a number of artists including Chris Rea, Nitin Sawhney and Deep to name but a few.
Not only is Ian a superb drummer but also a great lead and flamenco guitarist!

The band would like to pass on their thanks to everyone who auditioned - the standard was very high.
April 2008. Excellent progress is being made on the new Karnataka album!
Following a complete studio upgrade and taking advantage of a break in the Chasing The Monsoon recording schedule, Ian has been working on pre-production on a number of tracks.

We are very pleased to announce that Troy Donockley will be playing on the new Karnataka album.
Troy, who has recently been touring with Nightwish, has already contributed Uillean pipes and whistles to Circles Of Stone on the forthcoming debut album from Chasing The Monsoon.

Rick Wakeman recently featured Karnataka on his Planet Rock show - the response has been fantastic - thank you to everyone who has been in touch! Thank you Rick!

All proceeds go towards helping Dave & Debbie's autistic son, Luca continue on his Son-Rise Programme (Autism Center of America).

As part of the build up to the Cambridge Rock Festival Ian Jones has been interviewed by UK City Radio / Get Ready To Rock. The interview will be aired on UK City Radio today July 14th 19.00 - 20.00 GMT but will also be available to download from Get Ready To Rock for the following week.
Ian was talking to Dave Randall about Karnataka, the forthcoming debut release from Chasing The Monsoon and future plans.
Following the very successful Karnataka Spring Tour Ian & Lisa have been back in the studio with Steve Evans and Ian Simmons to continue work on the debut Chasing The Monsoon album. These have been the first sessions for several months whilst band members worked on individual projects, Karnataka tour etc.
As a 'teaser' for the debut release the band have put together a 7.5 minute mp3 compilation track which you can download here. This exclusive pre-final mix demo compilation features previously un-released clips from some of the album tracks. Switch the lights out, turn up the volume, enjoy.......then wait for the album!

Karnataka are very pleased to announce they will be performing at The Cambridge Rock Festival 07 on August 19th.
The festival is being held at The Britten Indoor Arena, The Kings Bush Centre, Godmanchester, Huntingdon, Cambs PE29 2NH
The festival also features Thunder, Wishbone Ash, The Australian Pink Floyd, Dr Feelgood, Hazel O'Connor, Deborah Bonham amongst many others.

This Saturday Karnataka are performing at Herringthorpe Leisure Centre, Rotherham for the Classic Rock Society. Special guests are Oliver Wakeman and Paul Manzi - opening at about 7.15pm. Karnataka will be the first band to be featured in a new Classic Rock Night at Manchester's Walkabout starting Sunday March 18th. The Classic Rock Night will mix the best Live bands with Rock and Guest DJs.

There are two rock DJs - Kramer, leading Rock DJ, well known around the Manchester Rock community and special Guest DJ Tom Hingley, Tom is best known as his role as the lead singer with The Inspiral Carpets and his other project, The Lovers.

Lisa Fury has just launched 2 new sites - the first is Lisa's official website @ www.lisafury.com - the site has recently undergone a complete transformation and features streaming audio tracks from Lisa's solo work and Chasing The Monsoon and also a new gallery.
Lisa has also recently launched a MySpace site @ www.myspace.com/lisafury. If you are a MySpace member feel free to drop in on the sites and leave a message, sign up as a friend etc.
Karnataka performed a stunning set at the first ever Vibes From The Vines Festival last Saturday. The event helped raise £28000.00 in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The set featured Time Stands Still, After The Rain, The Right Time and a new track being performed for the first time - The Gathering Light.

Karnataka will be appearing at the Vibes From The Vines Festival in support of Cancer Research UK.
